Dutch Baby Pancake - Oven Pancakes

Dutch Baby Pancakes are super simple pancakes made in the oven that look good on their heads because they work so well. You can already find a sweet recipe in my blog: Sunday breakfast deluxe: Dutch Baby Pancake or simply: oven pancakes with caramelized banana. In the hearty version, the pancake is more reminiscent of a kind of juicy omelette from the oven. The flour content is low, but Cheddar is baked directly. Fresh from the oven, the Dutch Baby Pancake is then sprinkled with a little more cheddar and topped with fresh baby spinach and crispy bacon. Delicious!

The oven pancake works best in a cast-iron pan *. You should definitely use a highly heatable pan, which is really ovenproof, so has no plastic or wooden handle. The preparation of the Dutch Baby Pancake itself is super simple and done in minutes. Stir a pancake batter, fry some bacon and then put the pancake in the oven. Served fresh and hot and tada - the perfect hearty Sunday or Easter breakfast is ready!
